My first impression of this city was nice, lots of bycicles everywhere… dutch bikes are special. People are organized and there are special streets to bikes. Yes, Everyone respects to the bike riders. Pretty nice, isn´t it?

To tell you the truth, I didn´t like british food, so in Amsterdam I was really happy, lots of places with delicious food and drinks.

Dutch language seems complicated, afortunately, dutch people speaks very well in english, so we didn´t have major problems to comunicate with the locals.

We made a long itinerary, we had a list of places to visit. The place where we stayed was near Leidseplein, which is full of stores and bars. We´ve also been near Preisentgratp, it´s the street where the Anne Frank House it´s located. We´ve been there and personally couldn´t believe it! I read Anne´s diary when I was at elementary school, it is a fascinating book that tells the story of a child and her family during second world war. Anne´s dad office in Amsterdam was the place selected where they were hidden from the Gestapo agents.

We wanted to go to the Van Gogh´s Museum. Unfortunatly, the museum was restructuring just like the National Museum named “Rijkmuseum”. We didn´t have lucky with museums this time.

At night we went to different bars in Leidseplein. A lot of dance music and places were crowded.Inspite of the rain, my friend and I walked around the city several times. Around Dan Square it´s the city centre, lots of diversity. We saw from the outside there was a Torture Museum, Sex museum, The red Light district, Coffee shops, etc. Quite interesting, huh? Want to know more? Lets continue…

The next day, we went to the Rembrandt House, the place where he had lived between 1639 and 1659. It is located in Jodenbreestraat 4. It was quite difficult to find this house. We were walking around until we finally did it! A painter teached us the techniques that he used for his famous paintings.

How can you lose the Heinecken experience? It´s imposible! It´s an interactive museum in Holland about the history of the beer and the process. We had experience the process of making the beer in 4D. The tour ends at the Bar where you have a master class of how to serve a beer or you can have two beers instead. Obviously I´ve choosen the second option =) Come on! It was time to tasted!

Just 2 beers for free and the people were staying there as long as they could. You just need 2 beers per person to make them happy. THe bar was crowded and everybody looked friendly and extrovert.
